This year we are offering you a chance to be featured in our Purim Slide Show. The slide show tells the story of Purim in pictures and will premiere during the Megilah reading at our Wild West Purim on Thursday March 8th at 5:30 pm at the Park and Recreation Center in Westminster.
 
Here is how it works.
  1. Take a photo or self portrait with a colored background. See photo instructions below
  2. Take two poses one serious and one happy
     
  3. Email the photos to [email protected] by this Sunday February 26, 5: pm.
     
  4. The headshots are then superimposed into the Purim story characters. (The Haman and Mordechai roles have already been taken)
     
  5. Join in the fun on Thursday March 8th and look for you headshot appear in our slide show during the megilah reading.
     
  6. Save $1 off each admission to the Wild West Purim for each person's photo you send in.

Photo instructions

  • Use a colored backdrop (oak tag - preferably , green or light blue) It is important that the background is not a color that can be confused with hair color or skin color.
     
  • Do not use Fluorescent colors. Make sure the lighting is adequate.
     
  • Take a few snapshots so that you can have options. It’s as simple as telling the subject to either smile at the camera or show a serious face.
     
  • Only the face is necessary in the picture, but that does not mean the photographer should zoom up on the face, quite to the contrary.
     
  • Costumes are not necessary.
     
  • It’s best that you remove glasses, hoods, scarves, large collars, etc.
